The original aim of ABACUS was to promote and celebrate Chinese culture in Britain. And to this end, ABACUS continues just as it started. It remains centred on socialising, meeting new people and having fun. Events throughout the year include the ABACUS Boat Party on the River Thames, Funkyard (the biggest Oriental club-night in Cambridge), Garden Party and many other smaller events like formals, dim sum and karaoke.
